Aloha Flea Market Honolulu

Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu

The Aloha Flea Market at Aloha Stadium is the biggest swap meet, garage sale, flea market, and crafts fair in Hawaii. Nowhere else will you find so much of so many things for so little.

This is the place to find local arts and crafts, clothes, hats, Hawaii souvenirs, knick-knacks, jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, used CD's, Hawaiiana stuffs, accessories, housewares and things you never ever thought you'd need, not to mention some great eats.

Aloha Flea Market Facts

The Aloha Flea Market is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. It's been a running event for over twenty years and attracts about 900 vendors and sellers and thousands of shoppers, buyers, and visitors.

The swap closes at 1pm when there's a UH football game.

Admission is fifty cents for everyone over 12, and though every day is a good day for the flea market, Sunday seems to bring in more of local household stuffs. Visitors might not be too interested in kitchen stuff.

The seller's tents and stalls are set up in the Aloha Stadium parking lot in four or five concentric circles.

No matter what, you're going to do a lot of walking, so come early to beat the sun, wear good walking shoes, loose clothes, and a sun hat (umbrella too?), and have your water bottle at the ready. You will see folks with wheeled carry-on luggage to make the walk easier.

And once you get your stuff back to the hotel, you might just look up the local UPS, MailBoxes, or Post Office and mail them back to yourself, rather than hassle with all your things with airport security.

Aloha Stadium

Aloha Stadium is right next to Pearl Harbor, but most visitors to Honolulu know Aloha Stadium as the site of the NFL's annual Pro Bowl. It's been played here for over twenty years, and for over twenty years the Aloha Bowl was played here on Christmas Day.

Aloha Stadium is the home field of the University of Hawaii's football team, the Warriors. They are Hawaii's only Division I NCAA football team.

The Hawaii Islanders of baseball's Pacific Coast League played here in the Seventies and Eighties, and Aloha Stadium has been the Hawaii venue of choice for many top-ranked pop and rock concerts, among them the Eagles, the Rolling Stones, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and Michael Jackson.
