Though these two hotels are among the most exclusive on the entire island, public access to the beach is guaranteed. A stretch of the beach is known as "Dig Me Beach" due to the people-watchers that hunker down on the sand and the young people who come to strut their stuff.

Access :: Nohea Kai Drive.
Services :: Showers, lifeguards, limited parking.
Notes :: The Kahana Canoe Club is based in Hanakaoo. Often they can be seen out on the water, practicing their strokes and gliding over the surface of the water.

Location :: At the end of Kai Ala Drive, near Black Rock, northern edge of Kaanapali.
