Merrie, Safe, Domes

Honolulu, safe city

A new study ranks Honolulu as one of the safest cities in the United States but was just 45th safest in the world.

Honolulu was tied at 45 with Houston; Lexington, Ky.; San Francisco; and Winston Salem, NC, according to a survey conducted by Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Luxembourg is the world's safest city. The Swiss cities of Bern, Geneva and Zurich ranked just behind Luxembourg for safety, along with the Finnish capital, Helsinki. The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, was ranked the world's least safe city.
