Maui's whales
Maui's whale-watching excursions show humpbacks at play :: The humpback whale breeding ground off Maui's south coast is getting a lot of coverage this time of year. The big mainland papers covered it recently. Better hurry. After St. Patrick's Day the leviathans begin hightailing it for deeper waters around the world. They arrive for Christmas, peak in the first two months of the year, and by May have vanished.
