Everyone has their own idea of paradise, and because Hawaii has something for everyone, a vacation in paradise starts with some homework. Even God had a plan when he created Hawaii and so should you when you create your vacation in Hawaii.
The first step in laying out a great Hawaiian vacation is to concentrate on doing what you like on your vacation. If you don't like museums or flea markets, then don't bother. Concentrate on what you like.
Your second step to planning your Hawaii vacation is to locate the areas on your primary Hawaiian island you want to see. You can do this by reading travel guides, and visiting Web sites.
The third step is a choose one primary island to enjoy during your vacation in Hawaii and then choose another island to visit for a day or so. Your visit to another island in Hawaii will show you just how different all the islands are.
After your third step, you've figured out where you should be staying during your Hawaiian vacation. If you want to prowl the beaches, you can either pick a town to stay in that's in the middle of the coast. That way you can go one direction one day, and the opposite the other and stay in the same hotel.
Or, you can start at a hotel at the extreme end of the coast, and switch hotels as you travel around the coast.
After you've choosen the island, what you want to do, and where you want to stay, it's all a matter of getting there and booking a flight from the Mainland.
A Hawaiian vacation can be many things to many people, and there is so much to discover and enjoy that many people visit more than once a year. But each visit Hawaii holds a lifetime of memories.
